The Mandalorian Chapter 11

Friday blessed us with the third episode of the season and I think it might be my favorite so far. Big thanks to Bryce Dallas Howard, my only complaint, it was too short. To be fair I wish they were all longer. So what did I love? What did I hate? What are some of the easter eggs I caught? Keep reading to find out, unless you haven’t watched the episode yet! Come back once you have.

She’s baaaack!

Bo-Katan made her first appearance last night and it was pretty amazing. If you don’t know who she is you truly need to watch The Clone Wars, you can find the entire series on Disney+. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Bo-Katan is one of the things I’ve been excited for this season so I may have squealed just a bit the moment I saw her helmet.

Excuse me while I have a heart attack.

This scene was so stressful, I had a feeling it was going to happen as soon as Quarren called them over but actually watching him smack The Child into the water and then having the Mamacore swallow the pram just about gave me a heart attack. Watching them lock Mando in the water and beating him down was equally as stressful. Thankfully Bo-Katan and the other show up just in time to kick some butt and save the day. What an entrance too, it was reminiscent of Mandos rescue as a child.

Did he just make a new friend?

Unlike the last episode, it seems The Child was able to control his appetite and maybe even made a little friend. While this scene was a quick it one, it was so adorable I had to add it to my list.

Stormtroopers still can’t shoot to save their lives.

I don’t know about you but I enjoy trying to spot the Easter eggs. Did you catch the never not funny jab about how terrible Stormtroopers aim is by Axe Woves?

The Children of the Watch.

This episode shed some light on the differences between Mandalorians and their clans. Whether or not they can remove their helmets has been a pretty hot topic in the fandom and last night we got some answers. “Children of the Watch are a cult of religious zealots that broke away from Mandalorian society. Their goal was to reestablish the ancient way” Bo-Katan says to Din. Finding out this isn’t the only way and oh by the way you were raised by a cult would be confusing for just about anyone. I’m hoping this might be an indication that he will eventually remove his helmet again and we’ll get to see a bit more do Pedro in the future.

Ahsoka Tano.

The name we’ve all been waiting to hear, Ahsoka Tano. The episode ended with Bo-Katan sending Din to find Ahsoka for help which means we should be seeing within the next couple of episodes and I truly could not be more excited. It also has me wondering if we’ll get to see Sabine along with her. Rumor has it that Ahsoka will be played by Rosario Dawson, and while Ashley will always be Ahsoka to me (I know, I know she is a voice actress) I have high hopes that she will do right by her character.

Not surprisingly this was another great episode and it has me pumped for next week. What did you guys think about it? What did you love or hate? Leave me a comment and let me know. Until next week, this is the way.
